P´ran P´ran (Pran Pran)
Origin: Mali and Burkina Faso
Description:
P´ran P´ran is danced much by the Marakas. In Burkina Faso it is a rhythm for initiation of the children, as well in dancing as well in percussion. The children play this rhythm during the festivals of marriages and baptisms.
